The year is 1778, and British redcoats occupy New York. America’s first spy ring must do the impossible – sabotage the world’s most powerful army. The hangman’s noose awaits any who fail.

This is a new Parker Chase adventure which looks back to a different period in Parker’s life. You’ll find several familiar characters you didn’t expect to see, taking you on a journey that barrels ahead from the first page. Walking alongside America’s original spy ring, Parker finds himself racing to unravel the mystery by traveling the same path as The Culper Ring – George Washington’s first espionage team sent to infiltrate and undermine the vaunted British army.

I wrote this because there was a story careening about inside my head demanding to be told, though it didn’t fit with the standard timeline. It’s set roughly between the events of The Crowns Vengeance and Dark Tides Rising, but can also be enjoyed as a standalone tale, much like all the other Parker Chase novels.
